Dataset of Insulin and Glucose Administered and Blood Glucose Levels over Time for 21 ICU Patients
Overview
Records were collected in the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Galway. Over the time period for data collection, 21 patients had the following characteristics:
- Sepsis as a primary diagnosis
- Non-diabetic
- Not receiving steroids
- No major organ failure
All data were collected with ethical approval and there is no identifying information included.

Data Format
The zip file (see below) contains one folder per patient. Each folder contains some or all the files listed below. Each file contains data in the format: (Time Quantity)
Time is measured in minutes from t=0.
Data is categorised as
- Instantaneous – evidence at a particular instance in time, or
- Continuous – evidence that remains constant until a new value is reported.
